Please pass the Mashed Potatoes

You know what I'm talking about, don't pretend you don't.

I explored some of the fun Flickr mashups and third party tools that were listed. I love the Spell with Flickr! I like to scrapbook, so this could come in handy. Anyway, it reminds me of some of the middle school projects I did where you cut out names and pictures out of magazines, it was fun. Not only did I find some silly fun in this mashup, I loved that you could click on the letter and change how it looks! My 10-year-old daughter will have fun typing in her name and her friends names. Today is March 28, 2008, and it is snowing! Usually April 1st is the deadline to take your snow tires off, and I had an appointment today to do that, but I think I will wait until next week. Since I live on a steep hill, I don't want to take any chances!

This photo of me was taken last summer (2007). It is definitely not the best one, but I am not that photogenic either. If I had my picture taken today at the very same spot, there wouldn't be any leaves on the tree behind me, and at first glance, someone would think it was December or January, and not Spring!

>>>This is written a few minutes later.....I got so excited about the ease of use to import a picture, I momentarily did not remember that the image was supposed to be from From Flicker.

So, in keeping with my already created theme of "Is it Really Spring?", I am importing this image from Flicker:

I don't think it will snow as much as it did in this picture, but if feels like it could.

Thanks for reading my blog post!

Pardon the Dust

I feel like I should say "Pardon the Dust" because blogging for me will be a house under construction. This is my 3rd or 4th blog ever. I blogged on my LifeGroup's blog, but a couple of years ago I had to ask someone I worked with what a blog was. The terminology was out there, but I didn't get what one was.

As a lifetime learner, the hardest of the 7 1/2 habits of lifetime learners is probably 7 1/2. Although playful, I don't make alot of plans to play per se , and yet I enjoy the simplicity of fun that just happens.

The easiest of the Seven and 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners, is Habit Number 7. I love to share information, and be encouraging to others own path in learning.
